Le président américain Donald Trump s’en est pris de nouveau jeudi au président de la banque centrale américaine (Fed) Jerome Powell, qu’il a jugé « trop lent » à baisser les taux d’intérêt.

« Il est plus que temps que le mandat de Powell (à la tête de la Fed, NDLR) se termine », a écrit M. Trump sur sa plateforme Truth Social. Le second mandat de M. Powell aux commandes de la Fed doit s’achever en mai 2026.
